Waterman wins ACEA award

Waterman recognised for work on Workplace6 project

Waterman is delighted to have won an award at this year’s Association of Consulting Engineers Australia (ACEA) Awards of Excellence, making this the company’s third award win in Australia within the last month.

Waterman received the Gold Award of Merit in the Building Services category for its work on Workplace6 in Pyrmont, Sydney. Completed in December 2008, Workplace6 is an 18,000m2 commercial development and the first in New South Wales to receive the 6 Star Green Star environmental accreditation. Waterman provided building services and ecologically sustainable design services on this project, which according to the judges “demonstrated the leading and unique role played by Australia's consulting industry in achieving sustainability objectives within commercial cost and time constraints”.

Waterman directors John North, Ray Abraham, Ben North and Scott Brown attended the awards ceremony, which was held on 04 December in Brisbane.

The ACEA award is the latest in a string of award wins for Waterman in Australia. The company picked up the National Export Award at the Master Builders Australia National Awards on 07 November, followed by the Excellence in Sustainability Award at the Australian Institute of Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heating Awards on 19 November.
