Our engineers have undertaken marine related projects of all sizes and complexity both in the UK and overseas. Much of our expertise has been focused on coastlines of high environmental value, where engineering solutions have to be sympathetic to the aesthetics and sensitivities of the area.

Our port experience covers both new construction and regeneration projects and specific expertise includes new deep water berths, marinas, quay walls, ro-ro facilities, bulk handling facilities, and oil terminals.

Waterman engineers have also been involved in dockland development and regeneration projects, working in partnership with Port Authorities and international contractors on design and build schemes.

In the field of coastal engineering we have completed projects covering cliff stabilisation, coastal protection, sea defences and Shoreline Management Plans. We have also completed projects on a variety of other marine structures including piers, sea walls, dock pumping stations and outfalls and offer specialist advice on maintenance dredging.
