Brent Cross wins ‘Best Use of BIM for Costings and Materials Take Off’
We are delighted that Brent Cross Shopping Centre, owned by Hammerson and Standard Life Investments, has won a RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) BIM4SME award for ‘Best Use of BIM for Costings and Material Take off’.
The Awards recognises the small to medium sized firms (SMEs) at the forefront of delivering successful BIM (Building Information Modelling) projects and initiatives, whilst promoting best practice within the field.
Brent Cross London includes the redevelopment and refurbishment of the shopping centre with new retail and restaurant units, associated mall areas, multi-storey car parks and a cinema.
Waterman worked closely with Alinea Consulting to provide structural engineering services for the scheme. Our team produced the structural 3D model, the data from which, was utilised by Alinea throughout the cost planning process.
Congratulations to all those involved in this great project!
