Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies secures double awards shortlisting
Waterman are delighted that Nottingham Trent University’s Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies (Confetti Institute) and their recently completed Digital Media Hub, known as the ‘Confetti Building’, have been nominated for awards in two categories at the forthcoming Celebrating Construction Awards 2019.
The annual awards recognise and celebrate outstanding projects and organisations operating in the construction industry, across the private and public sectors. The Confetti Building development is shortlisted for the ‘Project of the Year – Building Project’ category, whilst the Confetti Institute is shortlisted for ‘Client of the Year’.
The Confetti Building is located at the centre of Nottingham Trent University’s (NTU) ‘Creative Quarter’. This innovative seven-storey facility includes contemporary classrooms, a spacious Learning Resource Centre with private study facilities, computer laboratory and a café. Together, they facilitate the delivery of media, film and theatre courses for students at both college and degree level.
Waterman were appointed to provide mechanical and electrical engineering services for this exceptional build, meeting NTU’s key requirements for a low energy build and achieving a BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rating.
The awards will be hosted at the Nottingham Belfry on the 10th of May 2019.
