Jersey Nightingale Hospital shortlisted for Constructing Excellence National Award
We are delighted that Jersey General Hospital’s Nightingale Wing has been shortlisted in the ‘Integration & Collaborative Working’ category for the upcoming Constructing Excellence National Awards.
The Awards celebrate the best projects, collaborations and initiatives from across the UK’s construction and built environment sector.
The Jersey General Hospital Nightingale Wing, delivered by J3 Ltd as a joint venture between local company Garenne Group, Sir Robert McAlpine and FES, was completed just four weeks after being given the green light to begin the construction. The new £14.4 million temporary hospital is built on Millbrook Playing Field in Jersey and was specifically designed by NBBJ architects to provide 180-beds for Coronavirus patients with access to acute, enhanced and ongoing levels of medical care, including oxygen provision.
Helping to complete this rapid development on time, our team worked round the clock to deliver the structural, foul drainage and foundation designs, also providing detailed geotechnical surveys for the new facility.
