Stunning revamp at Devon House completes
Waterman are pleased the completion of the refurbishment of 93,000 ft2 riverside offices on the south side of St Katharine Docks in London has completed. The estate is owned by Blackstone-managed funds.
Overlooking the River Thames adjacent to Tower Bridge, the renovation of the existing 1989 six-storey building has made way for a bespoke Cat A office accommodation and exceptional co-working environment that will draw the attention of both traditional city tenants and new start-up companies.
In addition to comprehensive cycle and shower facilities, the estate offers four beautifully landscaped corner terraces on the 5th floor whilst the south facing riverside terrace provides one of the best views in London.
Waterman worked closely alongside Stiff + Trevillion Architects to carry out structural engineering design services across the scheme to create a light and airy contemporary feel. The team updated and modified the building to suit the augmented services concept as part of the strategy to increase net lettable area, creating efficient floor plates with the ability to tailor the fit-out to suit a variety of tenants.
