Waterman scoops AI Finance 2015 Award

We are delighted to have been awarded the prestigious AI (Acquisition International) Magazine’s 2015 International Finance Award, ‘Best for ESG Strategic Advisory Services & Best Property Due Diligence Firm’.

The Finance Award (by UK-based publisher Acquisition International that focuses on the corporate finance, M&A and wider financial advisory landscape) recognises companies, advisors and organisations that have demonstrated excellence in the financial sphere, ranging from tax to hedge funds, dispute resolution, legal, finance and offshore. The competition spans the entire globe and encompasses companies both big and small, highlighting the true excellence and performance that have been achieved over the past 12 months. Winners are based on an in-depth assessment process, which includes a voting round, in-house research and a final selection from an independent jury panel.

Penelope Latorre, head of Waterman’s due diligence & ESG team commented; “We are absolutely delighted to have been recognised for our due diligence and ESG advice over the past year. All of our achievements are reflective of our great team and the range of experience we have.“ Penelope says the team has kept a strong and consistent position in the market place thanks to their retention of a large number of clients. She continues; “Most of our new business has been a result of our growing reputation as a holistic ESG advisor and referrals from existing clients. Reliable performance but also innovation of both due diligence and ESG services have been our focus in the last year. We pride ourselves on being a first point of contact for environmental due diligence support, and we will work hard to ensure we keep that position in the market place.”

Waterman Group’s team of Due Diligence and ESG specialists are contributing to a number of associations, key conferences and panels which are shaping the market in the emerging area of ESG, which in recent years has become a major new consideration for investors across all asset classes. Our team’s wide portfolio of services includes ESG strategic, and implementation support as well as environmental and technical due diligence as part of transactional activity. Innovation has been a key driver this year and we have injected our portfolio with implementation tools which are allowing us to tackle the complex areas of social and governance alongside the more established elements of environmental, health and safety considerations
