Waterman Sydney collaborates with the ISF
The Institute for Sustainable Future (ISF) is a university research institute that creates change towards sustainable futures by conducting independent project based research for Australian and international clients.
ISF researchers come from varied backgrounds, including engineering, architecture, management, economics, science, the social sciences, international studies and political studies. Most have worked in both government and commercial environments.
Waterman Sydney is collaborating on projects with ISF at places such as University of Canberra, UTS & Frasers Broadway and a leading Australian University.
At a leading university, ISF in partnership with Waterman developed a University Campus Energy Supply and Distribution Strategy to guide energy infrastructure decisions over the next 20 years.
This involved the assessment of centralised and decentralised energy options under a range of future Campus Energy Development Scenarios, to investigate the comparative environmental and financial outcomes for the University.
The technical assessment occurred concurrently with a regulatory opportunity and barrier assessment, and a review of the legal and governance structures within the University, based on recent learning within UTS itself, to ensure that the Strategy was effectively applied as the basis for future energy infrastructure development at Macquarie University.
John North (Waterman Sydney Chairman) commented; “This has been a great relationship for Waterman and we continue to collaborate with ISF on further opportunities.”
