Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre

Forming the centrepiece of the LaTrobe Valley Sports and Leisure Infrastructure, the Gippsland Regional Aquatic Centre will feature a range of facilities for competitive swimming, leisure and general use.

The Peddle Thorp Architects-designed centre will comprise a 50 m competition pool with 500 spectator seats, large indoor waterplay zone, toddlers pool, warm water therapy pool with spa, two external waterslides and learn to swim leisure pool.

Additional facilities will include new sauna and steam rooms, gymnasium and group fitness rooms, wellness centre, 25 m outdoor pool and café and retail units. All of the pool areas will have geothermal heating.

Waterman provided design and construct documentation and construction phase services for mechanical, electrical, fire, hydraulic and vertical transportation.
