Waterman Infrastructure & Environment are currently recruiting for a Principal or Associate Director to head our Historic Environment team. With a requirement to meet the needs of our local Clients, the role will include regular co-operation and inter-office working with other regional teams in line with Waterman’s ‘One Team’ culture.
This is an exciting opportunity for the chosen candidate to work within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team on a wide range of high profile projects. The role will provide variety, working throughout the UK on residential and mixed-use development sites through to smaller bespoke projects.
The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a heritage related subject. Having at least eight* years’ commercial consultancy experience, as well as a good knowledge of British heritage, and within the context of the development planning have experience of completing desk based assessments, environmental impact assessments, liaison with Statutory Regulators, production of Written Schemes of Investigation and management of fieldwork investigations. They will also ideally, have membership of the CIfA.
As a team leader the candidate must be able to work in a multi-disciplinary team, to deadlines and within budgets. Excellent oral and written communication skills are also required. We are looking for people who are excellent team players and have a proactive and positive attitude.
A full UK driving licence is required and you must be willing to travel throughout the UK.
