Damien graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2011 with a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering with Architecture.  He commenced his career with Waterman Moylan that same year, having previously completed an industry placement with the firm as part of his degree studies at UCD.

Damien is a Chartered Engineer with experience in various sectors of the property market in Ireland and the UK, including residential, retail, commercial, hotel and mixed use development.  He is expert in the application of finite element analysis and design software combined with Revit 3-D modelling systems to the analysis and design of complex structures, and is fully at ease working to various collaborative BIM standards. He was responsible for modelling and design of concrete elements for one of the tallest precast concrete buildings in Europe, the Two Fifty One residential tower in London.

At present, Damien leads one our Structural Engineering teams and has been responsible for delivering a number of prestigious developments throughout the country including a number of technology and office buildings, hotels and apartment buildings.

One of his particular interests is  in the training and development of student and graduate engineers to maximise their potential as engineers for the future. He leans on his own experience of his student placement with the company and combines this with his present expertise to guide the training needs of the next generation of young engineers joining the firm.
