Amrit Ghose joins judging panel at ICE London Awards

Waterman are delighted that Amrit Ghose, Framework Director for Infrastructure & Environment, has been invited to join the judging panel for the upcoming Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) London Awards.

The Awards, in association with Jacobs, celebrates the collective and individual achievements of civil engineers and recognises excellence, innovation and ingenuity in London.

Alongside several other industry professionals, Amrit will visit the nominated project sites throughout April to judge the 12 shortlisted schemes for the Awards Ceremony on 16 May at One Great George Street.

In addition to the usual categories, this year’s Ceremony will see the introduction of the ‘Sustainability and Resilience’ Award which marks the anniversary of civil engineer Joseph Bazalgette’s birth.
ICE President Andrew Wyllie and TV presenter Rob Bell will also be making an appearance as guests of honour and compere.

Amrit had commented on his invitation; “I am looking forward to joining the judging panel for the Awards as we celebrate the best civil engineering projects and practices in London. It’ll be an exciting year as ICE London will also be presenting individual awards to recognise a graduate, technician and apprentice of the year.”
