Angel Court shortlisted for AJ Architecture Award
We are delighted that our project Angel Court has been shortlisted for ‘Tall Building of the Year’ at the AJ Architecture Awards.
The Awards celebrate the very best built projects in the UK. The selected schemes range from small community gems, to major cultural projects, educational buildings and workplace designs.
The category ‘Tall Building of the Year’ recognises new-build or significantly refurbished and upgraded projects over seven stories high and completed between January 2016 and July 2017.
Angel Court is the significant 300,000 sq ft prime office building in the heart of London’s financial district next to the Bank of England.
Waterman was appointed as the multidiscipline engineer to provide MEP, structures, civil and environmental consultancy services. Our team worked closely with Mitsui Fudosan UK (‘Mitsui Fudosan’) and development partner Stanhope Plc.
The winners will be revealed at the Awards ceremony on 7th December 2017 at Grosvenor House Hotel, London. The evening’s celebrations will end with the announcement of three special awards, chosen from all entries: the AJ Design of the Year, the AJ Architect of the Year and the AJ Editor’s Choice Award.
We are also pleased to see our projects – Google Pancras Square and St James’s Market being shortlisted for ‘Workplace of the Year’, whilst Victoria Gate is nominated for ‘Mixed-use project of the Year’.
