Baggot Plaza wins at the Building and Architect of the Year Awards

We are delighted that our project Baggot Plaza has won ‘Building of the Year – Office (Medium)’ at the Building and Architect of the Year Awards 2017.

The Awards recognise architectural excellence in building and design where the rich variety of architecture encompassing all the main building types can be appraised.

The category ‘Building of the Year – Office (Medium)’ rewards the construction of a building completed within the last 18 months that is between 50,000 and 150,000 sq ft and demonstrates excellence in design as well as a commitment to sustainability and the local community in which it resides.

Baggot Plaza is one of the most prestigious properties in Kennedy Wilson’s portfolio and involved the refurbishment and extension of an existing 1970’s 7-storey office building located at the heart of the Grand Canal commercial district. The building has been re-clad externally with the introduction of red sandstone to the primary Baggot Street elevation and with coloured horizontal tile cladding to the remaining facades.

Waterman was appointed by Kennedy Wilson to provide the Civil, Structural, Traffic and Health & Safety services and we worked closely with the design team and the contractor to complete this prestigious landmark project.

The winners were announced at the gala awards ceremony on 8th June 2017 at The Mansion House, Dublin.

Congratulations to all those involved in this project!
