Everyman Theatre wins RIBA Award

Waterman are pleased to announce that the Everyman Theatre was the winner of the Building of the Year Award in the North West Regional category. The prize, which aims to award architectural excellence in the region, went to just six out of 33 buildings entered into the competition.

Waterman designed the mechanical and electrical engineering services to provide a ground breaking low energy concept incorporating natural ventilation into the auditorium.

The Liverpool based theatre, designed by Haworth Tompkins Architects, will be entered with the five other winners to be considered for a RIBA National Award, announced June 2014.

Andrew Ruffler, RIBA North West Regional Director, said: “Once again the North West has produced another crop of outstanding buildings, all of which demonstrate the value of a strong architect-client relationship.”
