Planning application lodged for major Islamic Cultural Centre in Dublin

An application for planning permission has been lodged with Dublin City Council for a new 20,000m2 Islamic Cultural Centre as part of the New Clongriffin Town Development in the North of Dublin City.

The planned facilities include a three-storey Mosque and cultural centre, conference centre, primary school, post-primary school, fitness centre and swimming pool, apartments and a retail unit.

The facility will be ideally located to serve the needs of Ireland’s rapidly expanding Islamic community, being in close proximity to a large public park, the DART urban rail system and the recently completed Clongriffin Town Centre.

Waterman Moylan has provided all infrastructure, structural and traffic planning services required for the planning process, working closely throughout with Conroy Crowe Kelly Architects.
