St James’s Gateway makes the 2015 SSDA shortlist

We are delighted that St James’s Gateway (One Eagle Place) has been shortlisted for the 2015 Structural Steel Design Awards. Facing strong competition, St James Gateway is one of the 14 projects shortlisted entries that showcase steel’s flexibility and versatility in its use in the property development market.

Waterman was appointed to provide structural engineering consultancy services, being involved from early design development and working closely with Eric Parry Architects to develop an integrated structural/ façade backing system to provide a substrate from which to support hand-set faience and Portland Stone. The project also won the BCO National Award for best commercial workplace in 2014.

The winners will be announced at an evening reception at the ICE, London on the 1st July.
