Victoria Gate Arcades scoop RIBA Yorkshire Award

We are delighted that our project Victoria Gate has won the Building of the Year at the RIBA Yorkshire Awards.

The Award aims to recognise successful projects that reflect changes and innovations in architecture, whilst display a commitment to designing and developing buildings and spaces for the improvement and enhancement of people’s lives.

The £165m development Victoria Gate is located at the East end of Leeds city centre and forms a natural extension of Victoria Quarter and Leeds’ retail district. It is anchored by the flagship John Lewis store as well as 30 new retailers and restaurants making it the go to premium shopping, leisure and dining destination in the North. The Victoria Gate Arcades are designed as a two-storey, twin arcade with a complex roof scape continuing the grand history of Leeds’ 19th century arcades.

We are proud to have provided multidiscipline services for this prestigious development.

Victoria Gate will now be considered for a RIBA National Award in recognition of architectural excellence which will be announced on the 15th June.

Congratulations to all involved in this exciting project!
