Waterman Moylan appointed for Dublin’s major Cork Street shared living scheme

Waterman Moylan is delighted to have been appointed to provide multidiscipline engineering support for a major shared living development at 118 -122 Cork Street in the heart of Dublin.

Situated on a brownfield site in the city centre, Grayling Properties recently acquired the site with the benefit of full planning permission for a four-to-seven-storey shared living scheme.

Creating 378 new self-contained, fully equipped bedrooms and ensuite facilities, the development will incorporate extensive resident facilities, including a concierge, communal areas with kitchens, living rooms and other common spaces, gym, cinema, workspaces and laundry facility.

A café is included at ground floor level on the Cork Street frontage, whilst amenity gardens at ground level and a roof garden will also be available to residents. Bicycle parking will be included in a basement beneath part of the site, and a new public pedestrian link will connect Cork Street and John Street.

Waterman Moylan provided multidiscipline engineering services for the previous owner of the site during the planning stage, with consent granted at the end of 2020. Our relationship with the stunning scheme will now continue following our re-appointment by Grayling Properties, and our team will provide civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services as the development progresses.
