Waterman Moylan appointed on 400-unit residential scheme

We are delighted to have been appointed by Cairn Homes to provide building services design for their 400-unit residential development at Coolagad, Greystones.

The development of this 60-acre site will provide much needed family homes in the Greater Dublin Area and surrounding commuter towns. The site is ideally located close to the seaside town of Greystones, which is 30km south of Dublin city centre and has excellent rail and road links to the city. Greystones is at the foothills of the picturesque Wicklow mountains, offering fantastic access to the sea, a new marina and harbour at the heart of the town.

This latest appointment is our second commission from Cairn Homes at Greystones, as we are already working on their exclusive Glenheron development, which is under construction. This will help to strengthen our relationship with them as they ramp up their plans to deliver up to 1,200 new homes per year over the next 10 years.

Niall Coughlan, Associate Director and Building Services team lead at Waterman Moylan, commented; “We are delighted about this new appointment which is an important addition to our residential portfolio. We are looking forward to continuing to develop our relationship with Cairn Homes in delivering another high quality residential community with them. The homes on this site will be designed to meet the highest levels of sustainable design and energy efficiency, at a time when the residential sector looks towards the forthcoming implementation of Near Zero Energy Buildings (NZEB) and passive house design standards.”
