Waterman video shortlisted for Global Sustainability Film Award
Waterman are delighted that our video, produced in-house, for International Women in Engineering Day 2018 has been selected as a finalist within the ‘Transforming Society’ category at the tve Global Sustainability Film Awards.
The annual Awards recognises the most inspiring films across six categories, focusing on the UN Sustainable Development Goals: Companies Taking Climate Action; Transforming Society; Sustainable Transactions; Infrastructure for the Future; Sky: Beyond Plastic; and AI and Digital Innovation.
In support of International Women in Engineering Day on 23 June 2018, our video featured six of our female engineers – Alice Franks, Emily Wingrove, Juliet Harshaw, Ottavia Rispoli, Rand Jasim and Jennifer Camilletti – as they gave an insight into their careers and the opportunities available within engineering. As part of our ambition to raise awareness of the construction industry, this digital campaign was accompanied by a series of blogs and short videos, reaching an audience of around 1 million people including schools, colleges, universities, trade organisations and government bodies across the UK.
You can watch the shortlisted video here.
The awards ceremony will be held at The May Fair Hotel in London on 18 November.
