Waterman’s Internal Magazine Shortlisted for CIPR Excellence Award

Waterman Group is delighted to announce that its internal publication, PIE, has been shortlisted for Best Internal Magazine within the CIPR Excellence Awards 2017.

The Awards, by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, attracted more than 550 entries from agencies, in-house teams and individuals based across the UK. It is the longest-running and most-rigorously assessed awards in public relations.

The PIE Magazine is produced quarterly by 10 promising engineers, scientists and non-technical specialists from all of Waterman’s disciplines across the UK. An informal, fun and interesting publication which is open to all staff, offices and departments to contribute to, PIE symbolises Waterman’s three main sectors; Property, Infrastructure, Environment.

Susan Nilsson, Director of Group Communications, commented; “We are so proud to see PIE shortlisted for this prestigious award. The editors are extremely creative and have made more than just a magazine but also a feeling of engagement, appreciation and connectivity throughout the business. This achievement is a testament to the editorial team’s hard work, and our staff’s support and contributions towards the magazine, without which none of this would have been possible.”

Waterman’s PIE editors are up against Beetroot and RBS, British Steel, MyCSP and The British Airline Pilot’ Association (BALPA) for Best Internal Publication and will attend a panel interview later in the month.

The winners will be announced at the CIPR Excellence Awards dinner at the Artillery Garden in London on Tuesday 6 June 2017.
