Crawley Borough Council Frameworks
Following on from two previously successful frameworks, Waterman was awarded three partnering contracts for Civil Engineering Services and Flood Alleviation and Drainage Services and Structural Engineering in 2012. These contracts have recently been extended until 2017 demonstrating the success of the partnership.
Waterman works closely with Crawley delivering a range of specialist services and staff secondments.
The latest Crawley partnering contract commenced with a team building workshop with all the relevant technical and administration staff from both the Client and Consultant working together in an exercise problem identification and problem solving and exploring areas that could be improved from the previous contract. As part of the on-going partnering ethos the Clients Engineers regularly attend our offices for lunch time seminars and training.
In order to provide a consistent, efficient and economic service on our Partnering Contract with Crawley, we have produced a series of Scheme Brief Checklists to accompany the formal brief issued by the Client. At the outset of a commission we review with the Client Project Manager the brief and the actions required by each of the team. Each of the checklists sets out if a particular service or sub service is required and, if required, who is the lead, i.e. the Consultant, the Client Project Manager or the Ultimate Client. This has assisted in an overall improvement in the efficiency of scheme delivery, with particular improvements in meeting tight Ultimate Clients tight programme deadlines.
“The Waterman Team are reliable. They deliver on time and the quality that they produce has always been satisfactory for us and for the purpose it’s needed for.”
