London Borough of Bexley Framework

Waterman has held four successive Term Commissions with London Borough of Bexley since 1996, delivering specialist engineering consultancy services and seconded staff. Our current agreement has been extended to 2019 to include specialist transportation consultancy services.

The contract is an important part of the long-term regeneration framework of the Borough’s growth strategy for its economic, environmental and social regeneration. The programme aims to strengthening Bexley’s reputation as a desirable location to live in and do business, with plans to expand its transport infrastructure and education programmes while encouraging high aspirations and entrepreneurship.

Waterman has developed a highly effective and complementary partnering relationship in delivering services to Bexley over a 20 year period. The partnership ethos has been embraced by both Client and Consultant and continues to bring added value and innovation to the delivery of services. Initiatives include:

  • Providing staff to work in co-located teams
  • Developing comprehensive briefs with the Client
  • Joint workshops
  • Joint training
  • Cost effective site supervision using Council staff and Consultant’s staff
  • Use of Strategic Advisors

“They have consistently delivered projects on time and to budget and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.”
