Air W1 wins New London Awards
The Crown Estate’s AirW1 scheme, part of the office component of the new mixed use Quadrant 3 development, has won the New London Awards 2012 Office category.
The award ceremony, held on 10 July 2012 at New London Architecture’s annual lunch at The Guildhall, celebrated the very best in architecture, planning and development in the capital.
The AirW1 development provides over 16,700 m2 (180,000 ft2) of outstanding Grade A office space, already let to tenants including Telefonica Digital, which has established its world headquarters there, and Al Gore’s Generation Investment Management.
Waterman provided multi-disciplinary services to the project, including innovative engineering solutions and BREEAM assessment.
David Shaw, Head of Regent Street Portfolio, said: “AirW1 set the benchmark in sustainable urban regeneration of historically important buildings and is a credit to Dixon Jones’s visionary design. Most importantly, the scheme is a remarkable commercial success having attracted high calibre global occupiers and building on Regent Street position as a global business address.”
