Barry Dobbins to speak at tonight’s Concrete Elegance lecture
Tonight Barry Dobbins, Director of Waterman Structures, will give his insights into the innovative design of the Royal College of Pathologists HQ in London, alongside architect Bennetts Associates.
The event, hosted by The Concrete Centre and The Built Environment Trust, will share best practice in concrete engineering and architecture from designers well-versed in the design of concrete. The lecture, titled ‘Attention to detail’ will explore a deep understanding of the nature of the material, the possibilities it offers for creativity, structure and great attention to the detail.
The Concrete Elegance lectures are now in their 10th year, regularly attracting audiences of around 150-200 from across the design and construction profession, all eager to learn more about the ways in which concrete can be used to achieve elegant designs.
The event is taking place tonight, Wednesday 20th November, at The Building Centre in London.
