Charlie Scott in the speaker line-up at fibUK DISC 2017 Conference

We are pleased to announce that Charlie Scott, Director of Waterman Structures, is joining the speaker panel at the fibUK Developments in Structural Concrete (DISC) on Wednesday 29th November at The Institution of Structural Engineers in London.

This year, the annual event which is themed ‘High tech concrete – where technology and engineering meet’ will provide practitioners with a valuable update on the latest developments in concrete technology and their application to structural engineering. Speakers from the industry and academia will cover fibre reinforced cementitious composites, special concrete mixes and modelling complex geometry.

In his speech, Charlie will explore the design of the John Lewis store in the retail landmark, Victoria Gate Leeds. He will provide insight into the rationale behind the design of the diagrid and the lateral thinking used throughout the process.
