Craig Beresford joins TEDI-London’s Industry Strategic Advisory Group

Waterman’s Chief Operating Officer, Craig Beresford, has joined TEDI-London’s Industry Strategic Advisory Group. Bringing together nine senior leaders from across the engineering industry, the Group will meet twice annually to shape the direction and content of TEDI’s revolutionary curriculum.

TEDI-London, co-founded by global university giants Arizona State University, King’s College London and UNSW Sydney, is a new education provider which was established to train the next generation of engineers. Helping to address the annual shortage of engineers across the UK, TEDI-London offers degrees in global design engineering which incorporate all elements of professional engineering and will also develop vital digital, design and business skills. Through an innovative approach featuring project-based learning in partnership with the industry, they will empower students from diverse backgrounds to become independent, curious learners with a global, future‑focused outlook.

To ensure students start to develop the right skills from the start of their degree, experts from Waterman, ARUP, Hawkins Brown, Transport for London, The National Skills Academy for Rail, Citrix, Utterberry, Tibra Capital and the Royal Academy of Engineering have all been selected to shape this cutting-edge learning programme.

As part of the Industry Strategic Advisory Group, Craig will serve as an ambassador for TEDI and will provide insight into future market requirements, highlight new ideas and track emerging trends and opportunities within the industry. This group of industry experts will also advise on the strategic development and delivery of TEDI-London’s revolutionary curriculum, ensuring it is both innovative and relevant to current business, industry and our wider society.

TEDI-London Dean and CEO, Professor Judy Raper, said: “We are delighted to bring together such a diverse and experienced group of industry leaders to work with us in transforming engineering education. We have listened, and through this group will continue to listen, to the sector and industries we serve as educators to ensure the very best talent is equipped with the right skills and attributes to answer the biggest challenges of the 21st Century – challenges engineering and engineers will be at the heart of. Through meaningful collaboration such as this Strategic Advisory Group, we serve not only industry, but our students – in giving them the right skills we are ensuring they have long and fruitful careers ahead of them.”

Craig Beresford commented: “I am delighted to join the Industry Strategic Advisory Group and look forward to working with this exceptional organisation as they take the lead in shaping the education of our future engineers.”
