Friars Walk Opens

We are delighted that Friars Walk, the new retail and leisure development in Newport, has opened this week.

Waterman provided a wide range of structural, civil, highway and environmental consultancy services on the development which is located in the heart of the city of Newport. The new shopping centre is part of Newport’s major regeneration which has been led by the city’s 2020 Vision.

The completed scheme provides 390,000ft2 of retail and leisure space. It has attracted major retailers such as Next, H&M, Topshop and Debenhams among over 20 other stores and six cinemas.
