Getting Active: Waterman’s Richard White joins expert speaker panel for Active Travel Webinar
Richard White, Waterman’s Associate Director for Transport Planning in the Midlands, will be joining a panel of experts at Copper Consultancy’s upcoming ‘Active Travel’ webinar on 22nd June.
Richard will be joining Cllr Sam Corcoran, Copper Consultancy’s Tom Bennett, Atkins’ Marc Woodall and Staffordshire County Council’s Sarah Alves to explore what our industry can do to prioritise active travel infrastructure improvements and capitalise on the recently announced £200m Active Travel Fund. The panel will also discuss how we can best promote walking and cycling facilities and optimise the benefits of these investments, whilst also increasing the accessibility, public image, and appeal of active travel.
The webinar will be hosted by Copper Consultancy, a leading communications agency who have extensive experience in managing stakeholder engagement activities for major infrastructure projects.
Richard commented: “I’m delighted to be joining Copper Consultancy and the other speakers to discuss this important topic. The development of sustainable active travel policies and infrastructure is key to meeting our collective net zero targets and supporting a healthy lifestyle, whilst keeping communities connected.”
