Ground Engineering Awards double shortlisting
Waterman are delighted to announce that we have received a double-nomination in the ‘Rising Star’ and ‘Consulting Firm of the Year’ categories of the prestigious Ground Engineering (GE) Awards.
The GE Awards bring together the leaders of the industry to celebrate the achievements of its project, people and businesses over the last 12 months.
Our Lenia Korma has been shortlisted in the ‘Rising Star’ award category which rewards one UK-based geotechnical or geo-environmental engineer aged 30 or under who has shown innovative thinking, astute business acumen, made a significant contribution to a project or demonstrated technical ability through research. Lenia has consistently demonstrated sound application of engineering knowledge, innovative design and focused on H&S and professional commitment. Her motivation and enthusiasm throughout complex projects such as Nine Elms Parkside, Vauxhall Square and Ropemaker St. are particular highlights, where she adopted efficient methods and state-of-the-art techniques.
Meanwhile, Waterman have been nominated for ‘Consulting Firm of the Year’, an award which celebrates those firms who have continually delivered innovation, quality and value over the last 12 months, while growing in terms of revenue, profits and staff numbers.
Ali Raza, Geotechnical Director, commented; “This is great news and it is a big achievement for our geotechnical team to be recognised in two categories for these prestigious awards.”
Award winners will be announced at a gala dinner on the 5th June, taking place at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
We are keeping our fingers crossed for both categories!
