Joanna Ward re-elected to the Transport Planning Society Board
Waterman are delighted that Joanna Ward, Principal Transport Planner for Infrastructure & Environment, has been re-elected as Bursary Scheme / Diversity Board Member for the Transport Planning Society (TPS).
Joanna has over 20 years’ experience in transport planning and leads our sustainable transport projects from our office in Nottingham. Having worked all over the country for a variety of public, private and charitable organisations, as a TPS Board Member, Joanna’s roles include running the annual bursary scheme and encouraging more diverse representation at all levels within the society. She will work closely with the Society’s four partner organisations: The Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE), The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), The Chartered Institute of Highways & Transportation (CIHT) and Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI), to further the profession and promote debates on transport policies.
Pleased to continue her involvement in TPS, Joanna commented; “I first became a Board Member with TPS in 2016 and have thoroughly enjoyed working with them to address numerous topics, such as encouraging more diversity within the society and conferring the benefits of walking and cycling. I am really looking forward to continuing my role and ensuring that the important discussions we need to have around transport are at the forefront.”
