Jonathan Purcell to present at CIBSE East Midlands

We are pleased to announce that Jonathan Purcell, Director of Building Services, will be presenting to the CIBSE East Midlands Committee members alongside Simon Smith, Chief Engineer at Nottingham Trent University, on 29 November 2016.

The topic of discussion on the day will explore CIBSE 2016 Award winning Double: 50 Shakespeare St & Everyman Theatre. The presentation will be of interest to engineers working in the Built Environment as well as those with a general interest in renewable technology.

Jonathan will provide an overview of the history and development of the Everyman Theatre from its building origins as a chapel in 1837, through to its rebirth as the Stirling prize winner in 2014, describing its success as a socially sustainable building in addition to its highly sustainable environmental credentials.

Waterman’s Building Services team and the Everyman Theatre in Liverpool recently won two prestigious Building Performance Awards for ‘Building Performance Champion of the Year’ and ‘Project of the Year’ in the Leisure category.

Jonathan’s presentation will take place at Nottingham Trent University on 29th November 2016 between 6pm–7:30pm.
