Marlborough Primary School shortlisted for London Planning Awards
Waterman are delighted that our project Marlborough Primary School has been shortlisted for the 2019 London Planning Awards within the Borough-led Projects category.
The Awards celebrate outstanding professional planning work and reward excellence in planning-related activities, such as placemaking, urban design, economic development, housing, regeneration, legal advice and environmental consulting.
Marlborough has transformed an urban site into a series of terraces that wonderfully defines a school culture centred around day lit space and external play space. It is generously resourced with state-of-the-art facilities including outdoor learning spaces, two large hall spaces, a community room, a dance studio, a creative media suite, an art and design studio and a multi-use games area on the roof.
We are proud to have provided the Structural engineering design for the scheme, which you can read more on by clicking here.
The winners will be announced at the award ceremony on 31 January 2019 at the National Gallery.
Marlborough has also won the 2018 BCIA Awards for Social Infrastructure Project of the Year, the New London Awards in the Education category, and the RIBA National Award.
