Published 3rd August 2023

We are delighted to hear MIRA Technology Park, one of the UK’s leading Enterprise Zones, has been awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the International Trade category, for demonstrating consistent international revenue growth.

The International Trade accolade is part of the Queen’s Awards for Enterprise. The stringent criteria means only the top performing businesses are put forward and to become eligible UK businesses must, over a period of six-years, demonstrate steep year-on-year growth without dips in overseas sales, relative to business size and sector.

Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Leicestershire, Michael Kapur (OBE), and Vice Lord Lieutenant, Colonel Murray Colville TD, were guests of honour for the ceremony and delivered the Grant of Appointment and the award to MIRA Technology Park.

Waterman were appointed to the MIRA Technology Park consultancy framework for structural and civil engineering services in relation to major offsite highways, enabling work and improvements of its onsite gyratory and access road. The team were also involved in the design of new technical buildings within the proving ground infield.
