NHS Highland appoints Waterman on two new hospitals in Scotland

We are delighted to have been appointed by hub North Scotland and NHS Highland to provide civil and structural engineering design services on two new Community Hospitals in Scotland.

The £30m project will combine and centralise multiple healthcare facilities under a new Community Hospital initiative which aims to deliver wider benefits to residents. The new hospitals in Aviemore and Skye will serve the communities of Badenoch, Strathspey, Lochalsh and South West Ross.

Waterman is working in partnership with Architects Oberlanders and Rural Design, Rybka, and Tier 1 contractor Balfour Beatty.

Alun Rae, Director of Structures in Scotland, commented; “The new hospitals will enhance healthcare provision across the communities and we are honoured to play our part in delivering these exciting projects which are great contributions to our growing healthcare portfolio.”
