One New Ludgate wins RICS London Award
We are delighted that our project One New Ludgate has scooped the prestigious RICS London Award 2016 for Best Commercial Building. The award demonstrates the best built environment projects from the land, property and construction sectors.
One New Ludgate, designed by Fletcher Priest Architects, is a 35,040/sq m office and retail building for Land Securities in the City of London, and is part of the transformation of this island site. It replaces outdated 1980’s office buildings, essentially creating a new piece of City. On a site redolent with history, Fletcher Priest’s award winning design not only masterplans the whole site reinstating and improving the public realm, but creates prime Grade A commercial offices with an extensive landscaped roof terrace and a new public piazza with restaurant and retail facilities.
Our team was appointed by Land Securities to provide full multidiscipline engineering duties, including MEP, structural, fire strategy, vertical transportation, acoustics, BREEAM and environmental services.
One New Ludgate will go on to compete against other regional winners at the national RICS Awards Grand Final on 14 October 2016, for the chance to be crowned the overall UK winner.
