Ruth Jeffs guests on NCE net zero carbon podcast
Waterman is delighted that Ruth Jeffs, our Regional Director for the Midlands, joined New Civil Engineer’s (NCE’s) The Engineers Collective podcast as a special guest for their latest episode on the regional challenges faced by our industry as we look to deliver a net zero built environment.
Since its inaugural episode in 2019, The Engineers Collective has been NCE’s platform to explore how engineering affects our daily lives. It has gone on to become the podcast of choice for those who are curious about the future and want to learn more about how engineers will keep towns and cities running in the face of our changing climate and shifting societal landscape.
Exploring how our industry can make net zero carbon as integral as health and safety, this episode considers the regional challenges for delivering net zero and how the mindset and skills of engineers needs to adapt to meet government targets. Ruth discusses what she has learned about net zero through her daily work delivering major projects throughout the UK, as well as with her role as an Association of Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) Board Director.
