St George’s Rugby Sevens Tournament

Friday 2nd June saw 9 of our Waterman staff powering through to the quarter finals in the St George PLC’s Rugby Sevens Tournament which was held at the Bank of England Sports Centre in Roehampton.

The event was in aid of SPEAR, a foundation supported by the Berkeley Foundation which works closely with homeless people in South and West London to find secure accommodation, and raised over £33,400.

Simon Mayor, a Graduate Engineer within our Structure’s team, commented; “This tournament was a great opportunity for our team to get involved and serve a good cause. We all had a lot of fun playing against the other companies and feel that the whole event was a great success. We look forward to entering again next year.”

St George proved victorious and took home the winning trophy, finally beating Core Five LLP as the reigning champions.
