Tim Murphy joins Croydon Place Review Panel
We are pleased to announce that Waterman’s Tim Murphy, Associate Director, has been selected to join the Croydon Place Review Panel.
Tim, together with 21 other multidisciplinary and high calibre panellists with expertise in architecture, regeneration, design and construction will provide independent, expert advice on major development schemes as part of the significant regeneration and growth of the borough.
With an increased number of high profile development proposals being submitted in Croydon, the panel, established by the council, will play an important role in scrutinising and challenging design quality. The aim is to allow the borough’s renaissance to fully flourish and creating places people care about whilst also continuing to attract investment.
There will be one review day every month, with each review panel consisting of one chair and five panellists.
Tim commented: “I am very proud to contribute to the Croydon Place Review Panel. I have always been a firm believer that heritage should be a significant consideration in successful and sustainable place making. Our heritage has a story to tell, and this story helps to create a sense of place in which we interact, live and work, thereby contributing to the economic and social wellbeing of our communities.”
The official launch of the panel will take place at the end of January 2017 at Boxpark Croydon.
