Victoria Gate shortlisted for RTPI Award

We are delighted that our project Victoria Gate has been shortlisted for the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) Awards in the category ‘Excellence in Planning to Create Economically Successful Places.’

The Awards for Planning Excellence are the most established and respected awards in the UK planning industry. They aim to recognise exceptional examples of planning and the contribution planners make to society.

The £165m development Victoria Gate is anchored by the flagship John Lewis store as well as 30 new retailers and restaurants making it the go to premium shopping, leisure and dining destination in the North. We are proud to have provided multidiscipline services on this prestigious development.

Stephen Wilkinson, President of RTPI, commented; “The huge increase in entrants and finalists in this year’s awards reflects the important contribution planners are making to delivering infrastructure and housing. The finalists represent some outstanding contributions to planning which continue to make a positive impact on the environment in the interests of communities across the UK.”

The winners will be announced at the Awards ceremony which will be held on 15th June 2017 at Milton Court, The Barbican.

Congratulations to all involved in this exciting project!
