Waterman and Berkeley Group shortlisted for Innovation Award

We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the ‘Innovation’ Award at the Constructing Excellence South West Built Environment Awards.

The Award celebrates an organisation or project that has developed and applied the most innovative approach to overcome construction challenges.

Waterman’s Ecology team designed a Biodiversity Toolkit in collaboration with Berkeley Group as part of Berkeley’s ambition to achieve a net biodiversity gain in its new developments.

The newly launched Toolkit has already made a significant difference to a number of developments. It provides a detailed project management and Biodiversity Impact Assessment (BIA) calculator service; BREEAM pre-assessment summary; ecology survey calendar; species planting lists; and lists of national and local priority habitats and species to allow for effective ecological design.

The winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony on 22nd June 2018 at Ashton Gate Stadium, Bristol.

Congratulations to all those involved in this exciting project!
