Waterman appointed to help Abertay University improve its campus

We are delighted to announce that we have been appointed by Abertay University to be part of the Design Team that will deliver a £3 million refurbishment plan which will see major improvements made to the University’s existing campus.

Key science laboratories occupied by Abertay’s School of Science, Engineering and Technology, will be remodelled and upgraded. The campus will also have a new science suite built for teaching, research and knowledge exchange, which will be able to host a range of courses that require specialist laboratories.

Our Structures team in Glasgow will design the recladding and refurbishment of the University’s main Kydd Building. The project, which is multidisciplinary, will be delivered within a collaborative BIM environment, with all disciplines required to deliver a BIM Level 2 compliant design package.

This latest appointment extends our team’s existing relationship with Abertay University’s Civil Engineering Department, which has seen seven of their students undertake work placements with us as part of their degree course in recent years.

Abertay University strengthens our Higher Education sector portfolio alongside our existing framework with the University of Glasgow.
