Waterman appointed to major four-year Scotland Excel framework
Waterman is delighted to have been appointed to the Scotland Excel framework, providing engineering and environmental support for major infrastructure schemes across the country.
Spanning four years, the framework will provide a platform for Scottish councils to source specialist engineering and technical consultancy services. Covering a vast range of projects and schemes, Scotland Excel will see Waterman join 30 other suppliers to support the design, construction, inspection and maintenance of Scotland’s infrastructure. Our specialists have been appointed to provide technical support under the transportation and traffic, geoenvironmental and geotechnical lots.
In a recent statement, Julie Welsh, Director of Scotland Excel, said: “Scottish councils regularly require specialist technical and engineering services in order to plan and implement the wide range of investment projects and improvement works that are delivered within their communities… I welcome the launch of our third generation Engineering and Technical Consultancy contract which will give local authorities easy access to a range of suppliers, while also bringing efficiencies for councils. The framework is also good for business as the 31 UK- based suppliers are a mix of micro, small, medium and large businesses.”
Waterman’s Regional Director for Scotland, Daryl Fossett, said: “I am delighted that we have secured a place on this major framework which will support the development of Scotland’s infrastructure over the next four years. This latest appointment builds on our existing portfolio of UK-wide public sector frameworks and we look forward to start working with the Scottish councils and other supply chain partners over the coming months.”
