Waterman celebrates completion of 15 Bishopsgate
We are delighted to celebrate the completion of 15 Bishopsgate, a 57,000 sq ft office development forming the latest edition to the Tower 42 Estate in London. The building, designed by Stiff + Trevillion Architects achieved Section 6 practical completion on 15th September.
15 Bishopsgate includes three retail units occupying the ground floor, enlivening the Bishopsgate street frontage with an additional four retail pavilions on the walkway thoroughfare which links Old Broad Street with Bishopsgate. The development also comprises six floors above providing Grade A BCO compliant office space.
American workspace provider WeWork have taken the lease on the majority of the office space and will create a co-working community that spans all floors and the outdoor terrace. Marks and Spencer have taken the largest retail unit providing an anchor store for the retail provision.
Waterman’s Building Services team was appointed to provide full MEP services design and energy strategy advice for the scheme which has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating and EPC A rating. The low energy strategy we developed included combined heat and power as the primary source of heating.
Mark Terndrup, Waterman’s Building Services Director, commented; “It is wonderful to see this prestigious scheme complete. The team has delivered a fantastic building that not only looks great, but will have low energy use too.”
