Waterman supports Beacon Rail’s continued ESG success
Following the public release of results from the GRESB Infrastructure 2022 Global ESG Benchmark, we are delighted to see Beacon Rail Leasing S.a.r.l achieve a fantastic 97% score and become recognised as a GRESB 5 Star-rated entity.
Our experts have been working closely with Beacon Rail for several years, supporting their rapid progress in driving forward ESG improvements in both performance and management over the last three annual submissions.
Elizabeth Mircica, General Counsel for Beacon Rail, stated: “We could not have achieved this fantastic result without the entire Beacon team and the outstanding contribution from Waterman. The team at Waterman consistently provide diversity of thought and knowledgeable guidance to Beacon allowing us to fully integrate ESG into our business. Our partnership with Waterman strengthens our climate resilience and future sustainability.”
In addition to supporting their 2022 submission, our team developed climate-related risk management processes for Beacon. This includes a TCFD gap analysis and climate scenario analysis tool which have been fully integrated into their management system and corporate risk register as part of their climate resilience business planning.
Waterman’s Technical Director for Due Diligence, Responsible Investment and Climate Resilience, Dave Allen, commented: “We are delighted to have been part of the team helping Beacon achieve these fantastic results. This highlights the importance and value the business places on ESG, as well as all the hard work they’ve put into ensuring integration throughout their management and operations. We look forward to continuing our great relationship with Beacon and helping them maintain their ESG leadership position.”
