Waterman to co-host ACE’s West Midlands road to net zero webinar
Waterman is proud to be co-hosting the Association for Consulting and Engineering’s (ACE’s) ‘West Midlands 2041: The Road to Net Zero’ lunchtime webinar on October 21.
Chaired by Waterman’s Civil Engineer, Sara Trojanowska and AECOM’s Ebunife Botu, both of whom are members of ACE’s Emerging Professionals Midlands Group, the online event will focus primarily on the Midlands’ outlook on national and regional carbon emission targets. The session will also explore the definition of net-zero, present the ACE’s own viewpoint on the topic and offer an insight on how net-zero can be considered at all stages of a project. Real-life case studies will be used to give better understanding, and the ‘West Midlands 2041 target’ will be also be discussed.
Waterman’s Regional Director, Ruth Jeffs, who is an ACE Board Director and the ACE Midlands Chair, will join the webinar to speak about infrastructure’s role in delivering net zero and the challenges faced for meeting the net zero carbon target.
