Waterman welcomes Ryan Baker as Technical Director for Building Services
Waterman is delighted to welcome Ryan Baker who joins our Building Services team in London as Technical Director.
Joining us from HDR, Ryan brings over 14 years’ technical design and project management experience. Throughout his career, Ryan has worked on major landmark projects including sports stadia, complex industrial plant facilities, luxury high-rise residential and commercial buildings, central banks, and large low-energy retail stores for blue-chip clients.
He will be heavily involved in project delivery, ensuring that clients’ aspirations are achieved on-programme and to budget. By taking an active lead on projects from early concept design, Ryan will be pivotal in solving complex challenges and help project teams implement innovative, environmentally conscious design solutions.
Ryan brings a valuable depth of expertise across all aspects of MEP design and is passionate about taking a holistic response to climate change by embedding robust energy efficiency and low carbon solutions into design at the very early stage. Having previously provided technical support for the preparation of CIBSE’s CV-19 emergence and ventilation guide, Ryan will play an active role in our ongoing research and development activities whilst continuing to contribute to wider industry research papers and studies.
Mark Terndrup, Waterman’s Managing Director for Building Services (South), commented: “We are delighted to welcome Ryan to the team. He joins us at an exciting time as we address the challenge of delivering a net zero built environment, and his appointment is part of our ongoing expansion plans which reflect our continued growth and success. Ryan brings extensive specialist knowledge and expertise which I’m sure will prove a fantastic asset for both our team and the wider business.”
