Westgate Oxford wins RICS project of the year award

Waterman are delighted that Westgate Oxford took home the South East RICS ‘Project of the year’ award at last week’s event, held at Southampton’s Ageas Bowl. The judges commended the work of the project, praising the successful integration of the buildings into the surrounding properties, whilst also reinstating the routes of previous historic streets.

Westgate’s new £440 m shopping destination has played a key role in the regeneration of Oxford’s city centre, accommodating 800,000 ft2 of retail and leisure outlets. Anchored by a three-storey John Lewis department store, the Centre boasts over 100 new shops, restaurants, cafés and leisure uses including a boutique five-screen Curzon Cinema. Our team provided structural, civil, environmental and flood risk services throughout this prestigious scheme.

Congratulations to all involved in the project.
