Burry Port Masterplan
Carmarthenshire County Council and the Welsh Government are working as Joint Venture partners to promote the long term regeneration of the whole of the Bury Port and Llanelli Coastline.
As part of the project Waterman have carried out the following:
The NRW Flood Map originally showed the whole of the Master Plan area to be at risk of flooding.
Our detailed analysis has however revealed this not to be the case and has permitted the progression of a Master Plan for around £40m of mixed use development.
Waterman was appointed by Crawley Borough Council to develop the improvements to Ifield Mill Pond, and manage the Early Contractor Involvement stage of the Scheme leading onto the Planning and Construction stage.
Following on from previous successful frameworks, Waterman was awarded three partnering contracts for Civil Engineering Services and Flood Alleviation and Drainage Services and Structural Engineering.
Waterman were appointed as consultants by Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) Distribution Major Projects (North) (DMPN) to undertake a Flood Resilience study.
The proposed development involved the construction of temporary modular units, with disabled access and associated paved areas, to provide additional accommodation for the existing St Clements School, Dingwall.
The London Borough of Lewisham has appointed Waterman as the sole supplier on a three-year framework to provide Highway Design, Drainage, Flood Risk and Transport Planning Services.
The Local Authority’s Development Control Committee has granted full planning permission for Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s (RCT) new £7.2m Cwmaman Primary School in Wales.
The ongoing extreme weather conditions in Scotland and the north west of England are an unwelcome reminder of the damage and disruption that can be caused by flooding.
The National Infrastructure Commission (NIC) announced at the Conservative party conference will be headed by Labour peer Lord Adonis and has its work cut out.
